Youth Leadership Development
Are you part of a school or community organisation working with aspiring social entrepreneurs? Are you a youth-led organisation hoping to one day induct beneficiaries into your official board as part of your strategic aims or succession plan? Do you have a youth advisory group or hire young people who have been through programmes? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions then my final question to you is, what are you doing to prepare them for these responsibilities? Giving young people real power isn’t just about sticking their name in the Companies House registry or Charity Commission as Board Members or Trustees. As a leader, you have the responsibility and duty of care to prepare them for the road ahead by contributing to their personal and professional development.
